Who is lazylori?

Artist Extraordinaire

lazylori is an all-around creative based in San Antonio, Texas. She was raised in Seminole, Texas, and has lived in Dallas and Denver. An artist with ADHD and OCD tendencies, she finds inspiration in everything from real-life struggles and intergalactic fantasies to everyday humor and raw emotion. What began as childhood doodles has grown into a full-fledged creative career spanning nearly 15 years in graphic design and visual storytelling.

After starting her studies in animation at The Art Institute of Dallas, Lori transitioned into Graphic Design, earning an Outstanding Graduate award and launching her career with Access Lane, a small business in the mobile phone industry. There, she worked on projects for major brands like T-Mobile, AT&T, Disney, and Harley Davidson. Over the years, she’s become a seasoned designer with expertise in branding, print materials, direct mail, prepress, and animation. She has also worked for Allegra Marketing, a franchise in one of the world's biggest print, marketing, and graphic communications network. She currently brings her creative flair to In Loving Memory, a print shop dedicated to the funeral industry—an unexpectedly heartwarming role that’s as rewarding as it is humbling.

Outside of her day-to-day design work, Lori channels her creative energy into painting—primarily with acrylics—and runs her own Etsy shop selling custom-printed notebooks that feature original artwork. Her art often reflects themes of being different, feeling alien, and rising above adversity—echoes of her own personal journey through trauma, self-discovery, and growth.

From animating with Paint and Windows Move Maker in a trailer-house bedroom with no internet, to dreaming up her own web series, Lori continues to explore new mediums and push creative boundaries. She is passionate about building a life where art isn’t just an outlet, but a calling—colorful, imperfect, and unapologetically her own.
